The Huawei S2720-28TP-PWR-EI-AC is an enterprise-class Layer 3 Ethernet switch from Huawei’s S2720-EI series, designed for campus access networks and small-to-medium business deployments. It delivers a flexible combination of Fast Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet ports, supporting both 100M-to-the-desktop and GE uplink connectivity.

Built on Huawei’s Versatile Routing Platform (VRP) and next-generation high-performance hardware, this switch supports rich Layer 3 routing protocols including RIP and OSPF, providing leading routing performance in the 100M switch segment. The device features Power over Ethernet Plus (PoE+) capability, delivering up to 30W per port to power IP phones, wireless access points, and other powered devices directly over the network cable.

Key capabilities include iStack intelligent stacking technology, which improves system reliability and scalability while enabling unified configuration and management of the entire stack. The switch also supports SVF (Super Virtual Fabric) as a client, simplifying large-scale network deployment. Advanced features include comprehensive VLAN support (up to 4K VLANs), robust QoS with multiple queue scheduling algorithms, IGMP snooping for multicast optimization, and extensive security mechanisms including 802.1X authentication, SSH V2.0, and DHCP snooping.
