Product Overview

The Dell PowerEdge R660 is a 1U, two-socket rack server engineered for demanding mainstream workloads requiring high density and performance in a compact form factor. It is designed to deliver powerful performance with support for up to two 5th Generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors, featuring up to 64 cores per processor. The R660 is optimized for a broad range of data-intensive applications including high-density virtualization, dense database analytics, and mixed workload standardization.

The system features a new Smart Flow chassis design that optimizes airflow to support high-core-count CPUs in air-cooled environments, with an optional Direct Liquid Cooling (DLC) configuration available for maximum thermal efficiency. The R660 incorporates a cyber-resilient architecture with Silicon Root of Trust and cryptographically signed firmware to help establish a zero-trust IT environment.
