Product Overview
The Huawei S5700-28C-EI-AC is a stackable and modular Gigabit Ethernet switch designed for enterprise campus networks, serving as an access or aggregation layer device. As part of the S5700-EI (Enhanced Image) series, this switch delivers high-density Gigabit ports with 10 Gbit/s uplink capabilities, making it suitable for scenarios such as campus network access, network convergence, IDC Gigabit access, and Gigabit-to-the-desktop deployments.
The switch features 24 x 10/100/1000BASE-T downlink ports and provides two expansion slots: one front card slot and one rear card slot. The front slot supports uplink subcards including 4 x 1000Base-X SFP, 2 x 10 GE SFP+, or 4 x 10 GE SFP+ options. The rear slot accommodates a stack card for physical stacking, enabling simplified management and increased port density.
With a switching capacity of 256 Gbit/s and a forwarding performance of 96 Mpps, the S5700-28C-EI-AC provides robust Layer 3 routing capabilities including static routing, RIPv1/v2, RIPng, OSPF, OSPFv3, IS-IS, IS-ISv6, BGP, and BGP4+. It supports comprehensive IPv6 features, MPLS L3VPN and L2VPN, as well as advanced reliability mechanisms including BFD, Ethernet OAM (IEEE 802.3ah and 802.1ag), and ring protection protocols such as RRPP, Smart Link, and ERPS (G.8032).
The switch is equipped with an AC power module (150W) and supports dual hot-swappable power supplies for redundancy. Cooling is provided by a pluggable fan module with forced air circulation. The unit supports both rack mounting and desk mounting, with dimensions of 442 mm × 220 mm × 43.6 mm (W × D × H).
