Product Overview
The Huawei S2700-9TP-SI-AC is a next-generation energy-saving intelligent Layer 2 Gigabit Ethernet switch designed for enterprise access networks. Part of the S2700 series, this switch delivers reliable 100Mbps access with Gigabit uplink capabilities, making it an ideal solution for small to medium-sized businesses, campus networks, and branch office deployments.
The switch features a compact, non-modular chassis with 9 ports total: eight 10/100BASE-TX Ethernet ports for user access, one 10/100/1000BASE-T Ethernet port, and one multiplexed Gigabit Combo SFP port that provides flexible uplink connectivity. The Combo port consists of both an optical Ethernet port and an electrical Ethernet port on the panel, with only one active at a time—offering deployment flexibility for fiber or copper uplinks.
With a switching capacity of 32 Gbps and a packet forwarding rate of 2.7 Mpps, the S2700-9TP-SI-AC delivers robust performance for everyday enterprise traffic. The switch supports a wide range of advanced features including VLAN (up to 4K VLANs), Quality of Service (QoS) with multiple queue scheduling algorithms, IGMP snooping for multicast management, and comprehensive network management capabilities via CLI, Telnet, SNMP, and web-based interfaces.
Security is addressed through AAA authentication, RADIUS and HWTACACS+ support, port isolation, broadcast/multicast/unknown-unicast storm suppression, and CPU protection. The switch also features 6KV surge protection for enhanced reliability in diverse operating environments.
