Huawei S5700-24TP-SI-DC – Product Documentation
Product Overview
The Huawei S5700-24TP-SI-DC is a gigabit Layer 3 Ethernet switch designed for enterprise-level network deployments, particularly suited for medium-density access scenarios in medium-sized enterprise networks. It is part of the Huawei S5700 series and operates on DC power supply.
Built on Huawei’s next-generation high-performance hardware and the Versatile Routing Platform (VRP), the switch delivers a large switching capacity, high-density Gigabit Ethernet interfaces, and 10GE uplink capabilities. The S5700-SI series integrates advanced technologies in reliability, security, and energy efficiency, with simple installation and maintenance procedures designed to reduce operational and administrative costs.
The switch supports intelligent stacking (iStack), allowing multiple S5700-SI units to be interconnected via stack cables to function as a single virtual switch. A stack consists of a master switch, a backup switch, and several slave switches; the backup switch automatically takes over services in the event of master switch failure, minimizing service interruption. Stacks also support intelligent upgrade, eliminating the need to change software versions when adding new switches to the stack.
With its extensive service feature set and IPv6 forwarding capabilities, the S5700-24TP-SI-DC is applicable in a variety of scenarios, including campus network access or aggregation layers, and data center access deployments.
