Product Overview
The Huawei S5700-28C-SI is a standard Layer 2/Layer 3 Gigabit Ethernet switch built on Huawei’s next-generation high-performance hardware architecture and the Versatile Routing Platform (VRP). It delivers a switching capacity of 256 Gbps and a forwarding performance of 96 Mpps, providing robust data processing capabilities for enterprise networks.
The switch features 24 Ethernet 10/100/1000 ports, 4 of which are dual-purpose Combo ports supporting either 10/100/1000BASE-T or 100/1000BASE-X SFP connectivity. It is equipped with 2 extended slots — one for an uplink subcard and the other for a stack card — offering flexible network expansion options. With high-density GE interfaces and support for 10 GE uplink interfaces, the S5700-28C-SI is well-suited for a variety of deployment scenarios.
The S5700-SI series integrates advanced technologies in reliability, security, and energy efficiency. It supports Ethernet Ring Protection Switching (ERPS/G.8032), the latest ring network protocol that implements millisecond-level protection switching through mature Ethernet OAM functions and the Ring Automatic Protection Switching (R-APS) mechanism. This enables flexible networking with lower OPEX and CAPEX for customers.
