Product Overview
The Huawei OceanStor 5510 is a mid-range enterprise storage system designed to deliver a balanced combination of performance, capacity, and cost-effectiveness for diverse enterprise workloads. It is available in two primary configurations: a hybrid flash storage variant that intelligently tiers data across NVMe SSDs, SAS SSDs, and NL-SAS HDDs, and a capacity-oriented all-flash variant optimized for large-scale, cost-efficient flash deployments.
Built on a multi-controller architecture with active-active capabilities, the system provides unified access to block, file, and object storage protocols, making it suitable for virtualization, databases, backup and archival, file sharing, and containerized environments. The architecture supports extensive scalability—up to 128 controllers in clustered configurations—and delivers up to 1024 PiB of usable capacity, addressing the needs of both performance-sensitive and capacity-driven applications.
The platform incorporates Huawei’s FlashLink® intelligent algorithms to minimize latency and maximize SSD lifespan, alongside a suite of Smart and Hyper data management features for data reduction, protection, and mobility. With support for NVMe over Fabrics (FC-NVMe, NVMe over RoCE) and comprehensive protocol support, the OceanStor 5510 is positioned as a versatile, future-ready storage foundation for modern data centers.
