The Huawei OceanStor 18800 V5 is a mission-critical hybrid flash storage system within the OceanStor 18000 V5 series, designed to deliver the highest level of data services for enterprise mission-critical businesses. It is positioned for demanding workloads including large-database OLTP/OLAP, cloud computing, and other high-availability applications across government, finance, telecommunications, and manufacturing sectors.

The system is built on Huawei’s SmartMatrix 2.0 architecture, which combines with a gateway-free active-active solution to achieve 99.9999% availability. It supports up to 16 controllers and 16 TB of system cache, with the capability to scale to 9,600 2.5-inch disks or 4,608 3.5-inch disks. The platform delivers sub-millisecond latency and performance reaching up to 6 million IOPS.
