Product Overview
The Huawei OceanStor Dorado 6000 V3 is a high-end, all-flash storage system purpose-built for mission-critical enterprise services . As part of Huawei’s fourth-generation all-flash array family, it is designed to fully leverage SSD media to deliver exceptional performance with sub-millisecond latency, while maintaining consistent responsiveness even when data reduction features are enabled .
The system employs a native flash-optimized architecture with intelligent multi-core processors and proprietary FlashLink® technology. This enables the Dorado 6000 V3 to achieve up to 4 million IOPS with a consistent latency of approximately 500 microseconds (0.5 ms) . In SPC-1 benchmark testing, the system demonstrated 1,000,560 SPC-1 IOPS™ with an overall response time of 0.380 ms, showcasing its industry-leading performance capabilities .
The Dorado 6000 V3 features a grid-based, scale-out architecture supporting up to 16 controllers in an active-active configuration with fully redundant design. This architecture, combined with the HyperMetro gateway-free active-active solution, delivers 99.9999% availability and enables seamless upgrades to two-data-center-three-site disaster recovery configurations .
For capacity optimization, the system incorporates inline deduplication and compression technologies (SmartDedupe and SmartCompression), delivering up to 5:1 data reduction rates and reducing OPEX by up to 75% . The array supports both SAN and NAS protocols within a unified storage framework, making it suitable for diverse enterprise workloads including databases, virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI), virtual server environments (VSI), and SAP HANA deployments .
