Dell PowerEdge T550 Tower Server — Product Overview and Specifications

Product Overview

The Dell PowerEdge T550 is a two-socket tower server designed to balance expandability and performance for enterprise workloads outside the traditional data center. Powered by 3rd Generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors, it delivers advanced technologies such as accelerator support to address data-intensive workloads including business-critical applications, cloud infrastructure, database management, virtualization, and AI/ML and inference.

The T550 features a redesigned chassis that operates quietly enough for office environments while maintaining enterprise-class management capabilities and expansion headroom. It supports up to 16 DDR4 DIMM slots and up to 24 drive bays, with optional GPU acceleration for demanding compute tasks. The system includes comprehensive lifecycle management through the Dell OpenManage portfolio with iDRAC9 and Lifecycle Controller, enabling remote management and automation across the server fleet.
