Product Overview
The Dell PowerEdge R430 is a dual-socket 1U rack server designed for entry-level to mid-range enterprise workloads. It delivers exceptional performance, configuration flexibility, high availability, and intuitive management within a space-saving, shallow-depth chassis (24 inches). The R430 is ideal for high-performance computing (HPC), web technologies, and infrastructure scale-out, while also serving well as a collaboration and productivity application server, monitoring and site security server, or dedicated backup/development server.
Powered by the latest Intel Xeon processor E5-2600 v4 product family, the R430 accelerates performance across a wide range of workloads. It supports up to 12 DDR4 DIMM slots, up to 10 high-IOPS hard drives, and 2 PCIe 3.0 I/O slots, driving up to 2x data throughput compared to previous generations. The system is virtualization-ready and supports high-availability clustering, making it adaptable to changing workload conditions.
System management is provided through the integrated Dell Remote Access Controller 8 (iDRAC8) with Lifecycle Controller, which automates deployment, configuration, and updates to reduce time-to-production and improve ROI. The Dell OpenManage portfolio further simplifies and automates essential server lifecycle management tasks.
