Product Overview
The Huawei CloudEngine CE6857F-48T6CQ is a high-performance, next-generation top-of-rack (ToR) data center switch designed for high-density 10GE server access and flexible 100GE uplink connectivity. As part of the CloudEngine 6800 series, this 1U switch delivers low-latency, high-throughput switching for enterprise and cloud data center environments, as well as high-end campus network core or aggregation deployments.
The switch provides 48 x 10GBASE-T copper ports for server access, supporting compatibility with GE (1000BASE-T) while operating in full-duplex mode (100M/10M not supported), and 6 x 100GE QSFP28 uplink ports that are backward-compatible with 40GE. Its QSFP28 ports can also be flexibly configured for 4x25GE or 4x10GE breakout modes (specific to ports 3 and 4), offering versatile deployment options.
Built on Huawei’s VRP8 operating system, the CE6857F-48T6CQ supports advanced data center features including VXLAN routing and bridging, BGP-EVPN, M-LAG (Multichassis Link Aggregation) for cross-device link redundancy, and comprehensive QoS capabilities. The switch features a modular design with redundant, hot-swappable power supply and fan modules, supporting both front-to-back and back-to-front airflow configurations to align with data center cooling requirements.
