The Huawei CloudEngine CE16804-AH is a high-performance modular chassis switch belonging to the CloudEngine 16800 Series, designed for data center core, cloud computing infrastructure, and large-scale enterprise backbone networks. As part of Huawei’s next-generation modular switching platform, it features an innovative backplane-free Clos architecture with cell switching and Virtual Output Queue (VoQ) technology, delivering high throughput, low latency, and exceptional scalability.
The switch chassis is 9.8U high and features a 4-slot architecture with service slots supporting flexible combinations of line processing units (LPUs). It includes 2 main processing unit (MPU) slots for 1:1 redundancy and up to 9 switching fabric unit (SFU) slots (6 factory-configured, scalable to 9 for future expansion). The CE16804-AH supports AC and HVDC dual power input configurations with up to 6 power modules and a 5+1 or N+M redundant power architecture. It adopts a strict front-to-back airflow design optimized for hot aisle/cold aisle data center layouts.
The CE16804-AH supports high-speed Ethernet evolution including 100GE, 200GE, and 400GE, enabling flexible data center expansion and seamless network scalability.
