Huawei CloudEngine CE8875-24BQ8DQ – Data Center Switch
Product Overview
The Huawei CloudEngine CE8875-24BQ8DQ is a next‑generation, high‑density 200GE access switch designed for modern data centers, providing 400GE uplink ports. As part of the CloudEngine 8875 series, it features an advanced hardware architecture that delivers high‑density 200GE access ports and 200GE uplink ports, supporting extensive data center service features with flexible airflow direction (front‑to‑back or back‑to‑front).
The switch is 1U high and comes in a fixed‑configuration form factor. It provides 24 × 200GE QSFP56 downlink ports and 8 × 400GE QSFP‑DD uplink ports. All 200GE ports can automatically adapt to operate at 100 Gbit/s or 40 Gbit/s, and 400GE ports can automatically adjust to 200 Gbit/s, 100 Gbit/s, or 40 Gbit/s. The switch supports port splitting for flexible deployment: a 100GE port can be split into four 25GE SFP28 ports or four 10GE SFP+ ports, and a 400GE QSFP‑DD port can be split into four 100GE QSFP28 ports or two 200GE QSFP56 ports. Split ports support IEEE 1588v2 (PTP).
The CE8875‑24BQ8DQ runs on Huawei’s next‑generation operating system and supports a rich set of data center features including VXLAN routing and bridging, BGP‑EVPN, M‑LAG, PFC, AI ECN, and RoCE v1/v2. It seamlessly integrates with CloudEngine 16800 or 16800‑X data center core switches to build an elastic, virtualized, high‑quality, and fully‑connected 40GE/100GE/200GE data center network. The switch can also function as a core or aggregation switch in campus networks.
Key differentiators include high‑density 200GE access with 400GE uplink capabilities, flexible port rate adaptation and splitting, M‑LAG for cross‑device link aggregation with active‑active load sharing and independent upgrade capability, advanced virtualization with VXLAN and BGP‑EVPN, intelligent lossless network features (PFC, AI ECN), comprehensive Telemetry and iFIT for intelligent O&M, and support for IEEE 1588v2 precision time synchronization.
The chassis is supplied without fan boxes and power modules, which must be ordered separately. It supports 1+1 redundant, hot‑swappable power modules and N+1 redundant, hot‑swappable fan modules.
