Product Overview
The Huawei FusionServer 2298 V5 is a high-performance 2U rack-mount storage server engineered for data-intensive enterprise workloads. Designed as a dual-socket platform powered by 1st and 2nd Generation Intel® Xeon® Scalable processors, it delivers exceptional compute density and massive storage capacity in a compact form factor.
This server is purpose-built for distributed storage, software-defined storage, big data analytics, video streaming, data backup, archiving, and warm/cold data storage scenarios. The 2298 V5 accommodates up to 24 front-accessible 3.5-inch drives and 4 rear 2.5-inch drives (supporting up to 4 NVMe SSDs) within a 2U chassis, providing near 400 TB of storage capacity.
Key highlights include intelligent power management with Huawei-patented Dynamic Energy Management Technology (DEMT), comprehensive remote management via the integrated iBMC chip, and flexible I/O expandability with onboard 10GE and GE ports plus OCP 2.0 mezzanine card support. The system supports Intel® Optane™ DC persistent memory and delivers up to 36% performance improvement over previous-generation processors.
