Product Overview
The Huawei OceanStor 5300 V3 is a mid-range unified hybrid storage system designed for enterprise-class workloads, delivering convergence of SAN and NAS services on a highly scalable platform. Built on a cloud-oriented storage operating system and a next-generation hardware platform, it combines high-performance hardware with intelligent management software to address demanding application scenarios including large OLTP/OLAP databases, file sharing, and cloud computing across government, finance, telecom, energy, and media industries.
The system employs a dual-controller active-active architecture in a 2U chassis, with scale-out expansion supporting up to eight controllers. It achieves latency lower than 1 ms when configured with all SSDs and delivers a complete suite of smart management capabilities. The platform supports mixed drive deployments across SSD, SAS, and NL-SAS media types, enabling performance and cost optimization through intelligent tiering and data movement.
