Product Overview

The Huawei OceanStor 18800 V3 is a high-end enterprise storage system within the OceanStor 18000 V3 series. It is designed for mission-critical workloads in industries such as government, finance, telecommunications, energy, transportation, and manufacturing.

The system delivers 99.9999% solution availability and is engineered around the SmartMatrix 2.0 architecture, which tolerates dual points of failure while supporting gateway-free active-active SAN/NAS deployment. Performance is rated at 3 million SPC-1 IOPS with access latency under 1 millisecond in all-flash configurations, making it suitable for large-scale OLTP/OLAP databases and cloud computing applications.

Scalability extends to 16 controllers, 16 TB of system cache, and up to 34.6 PB of total capacity. The system supports a broad range of storage protocols including FC, FCoE, iSCSI, InfiniBand, NFS, CIFS, HTTP, and FTP, and integrates with virtualized environments such as VMware, FusionSphere, XenServer, and Hyper-V.
