Huawei S9312 Switch – Product Information
Product Overview
The Huawei S9312 is a 15U high, rack-mountable Layer 3 routing switch belonging to the Huawei Quidway S9300 series of terabit core routing switches. It is a next-generation high-end smart switch tailored for multiservice networks, designed to provide high-performance L2/L3 switching services along with rich network applications such as HD video streaming, elastic cloud computing, hardware IPv6, unified security, and H-QoS.
Built upon Huawei’s intelligent multilayer switching concept, the S9312 delivers stable, reliable, and secure high-performance switching services, further enhanced with intelligent service optimization capabilities including traffic analysis, comprehensive QoS policies, and controlled multicast. The switch employs hardware-based forwarding mechanisms and non-blocking switching technology, offering carrier-class reliability, wire-speed forwarding capability, comprehensive QoS management, rich service processing capabilities, and excellent scalability.
The S9312 features a modular design with 12 service board slots and 2 main control board slots. It supports both AC and DC power supply modules with redundant configurations (AC 1+1 or 2+2 backup; DC 1+1 backup). The switch is widely deployed in Wide Area Networks (WANs), Metropolitan Area Networks (MANs), enterprise campus networks, and data centers, helping organizations build application-centric converged networks with end-to-end routing and switching capabilities.
All S9300 series models use interchangeable modules and components, enabling cost-effective switching capacity and port expansion. The S9312 also incorporates innovative energy-saving technologies that significantly reduce power consumption and noise without compromising performance or stability.
