Product Overview
The Huawei CloudEngine CE8850E-32CQ-EI is a next-generation, high-performance Ethernet switch from the CloudEngine 8800 series, purpose-built for modern data center environments. Designed to deliver exceptional performance, high port density, and ultra-low latency, this switch serves as an ideal solution for data center core and aggregation layers, as well as campus network core and aggregation deployments.
The CE8850E-32CQ-EI provides 32 x 100GE QSFP28 ports that can also operate as 40GE QSFP+ ports, along with one 10GE SFP+ port. The 100GE QSFP28 ports support 100GE optical modules and can be split into four 25GE SFP28 interfaces, while the 40GE QSFP+ ports can be split into 10GE SFP+ interfaces, offering flexible deployment options.
Built on Huawei’s next-generation VRP8 operating system, the switch supports a rich set of data center features and high-performance stacking. It delivers 6.4 Tbps switching capacity with 2003 Mpps packet forwarding performance, enabling full wire-speed L2/L3 forwarding. The switch supports 1+1 redundant hot-swappable power modules and N+1 redundant hot-swappable fan modules for enhanced reliability.
The CE8850E-32CQ-EI supports up to 16 switches stacking, allowing multiple devices to be virtualized into a single logical device, which simplifies management and enhances system reliability through control plane and data plane redundancy. It also supports M-LAG (Multichassis Link Aggregation Group) for跨device link aggregation, enabling independent node upgrades with zero service interruption.
With support for advanced features including VXLAN (including VXLAN over IPv6), hardware BFD with 3.3ms minimum transmit interval, comprehensive IPv6 capabilities, and intelligent operations features such as Telemetry and intelligent traffic analysis, the CloudEngine CE8850E-32CQ-EI delivers a future-proof, high-performance networking foundation for cloud-scale data centers.
