Product Overview
The Huawei S3700-28TP-SI-AC is a next-generation, energy‑efficient Layer 3 fast Ethernet switch developed for enterprise campus networks. Built on Huawei’s Versatile Routing Platform (VRP) software and powered by high‑performance hardware, it delivers a robust combination of switching, routing, and security features tailored for aggregation and access layer deployments in medium‑sized enterprise environments.
The switch provides both Layer 2 functionality and basic Layer 3 IP routing capabilities, including support for static routes, RIPv1, RIPv2, and ECMP (Equal‑Cost Multi‑Path) routing. With its compact 1U form factor and fan‑less design, the S3700-28TP-SI-AC enables silent operation and flexible installation options including rack mounting, desk mounting, and wall mounting.
A key feature of this switch is its support for Huawei’s Intelligent Stacking (iStack) technology, which allows multiple S3700 switches to be interconnected via service ports to form a single logical virtual switch, simplifying network management and enhancing scalability.
