Huawei S1720-52GWR-4X-AC – Product Documentation
Product Overview
The Huawei S1720-52GWR-4X-AC is a next-generation energy-saving Ethernet access switch from the Huawei S1700 series. It is designed for small and medium-sized enterprises, Internet cafés, hotels, and schools, offering a cost-effective solution for building secure, reliable, and high-performance networks.
The switch features 48 x 10/100/1000BASE-T downlink ports and 4 x 10GE SFP+ uplink ports, providing high-density Gigabit access with 10 Gigabit uplink capabilities. With a switching capacity of 336 Gbit/s and a forwarding performance of 132 Mpps, the S1720-52GWR-4X delivers wire-speed Layer 2 forwarding to ensure non-blocking packet forwarding across all ports.
The S1720-52GWR-4X-AC is a web-managed switch that supports comprehensive Layer 2 and basic Layer 3 features, including VLAN (up to 4K VLANs), IPv4 and IPv6 static routing, link aggregation (up to 64 LAGs), STP/RSTP/MSTP, IGMP snooping, QoS with eight queues per port, and robust security features such as MAC address authentication, 802.1x authentication, RADIUS, portal authentication, port isolation, storm suppression, and DHCP snooping. It also supports port mirroring, bandwidth control with 64 kbit/s granularity, and broadcast storm suppression.
The switch is equipped with 512 MB RAM and 240 MB flash memory. It operates on a fixed AC power supply (100V–240V AC, 50/60Hz) with a maximum power consumption of 50.3W. The device measures 442 × 220 × 43.6 mm (1U form factor) and operates within a temperature range of 0°C to 45°C with a humidity range of 5% to 95% (non-condensing).
The S1720-52GWR-4X can be upgraded from a web-managed model to a fully-managed model (supporting SNMP and CLI) by purchasing a license.
