The Huawei OceanStor 6800 V3 is a mission-critical, high-end unified storage system designed for the cloud era. It features a flash-oriented design and an innovative multi-controller architecture that delivers high performance with sub-1 ms latency in all-flash configurations. The system is engineered to meet the demanding requirements of large OLTP/OLAP databases, file sharing, and cloud computing workloads across industries such as government, finance, telecom, energy, and media.
Built on Huawei’s cloud-architecture-oriented operating system, the OceanStor 6800 V3 combines a high-performance hardware platform with a comprehensive suite of intelligent management software. Its scale-out architecture supports up to eight controllers, enabling linear performance scaling and massive capacity expansion to accommodate rapidly growing business needs. The system achieves 99.999% availability through redundant component design and controller hot-standby capabilities.
The OceanStor 6800 V3 excels in convergence, integrating SAN and NAS services, heterogeneous storage virtualization, high-end to entry-level interoperability, SSD and HDD tiering, and primary storage with backup functions—all within a single system. This convergence simplifies deployment, improves resource utilization, and significantly reduces total cost of ownership.
