Huawei FusionServer 5288 V7 – Product Documentation
Product Overview
The Huawei FusionServer 5288 V7 is a new-generation 4U 2-socket rack server engineered for the Internet, IDC (Internet Data Center), cloud computing, enterprise business, and telecom applications. It is designed as a robust, storage-rich platform that pairs high-density drive capacity with strong compute performance, smart thermals, energy-conscious design, and automation-driven lifecycle management.
Powered by 1 or 2 x 4th/5th Gen Intel® Xeon® Scalable processors with up to 385 W TDP per processor, and supporting 32 x DDR5 DIMMs at speeds up to 5600 MT/s, the 5288 V7 delivers supreme computing power for complex workloads. Its standout feature is the ultra-large storage capacity – supporting up to 44 x 3.5″ drives in a 4U form factor, making it ideal for distributed storage, big data processing, virtualization, and video storage applications.
Key differentiators include the Advanced Extended Volume Air Cooling (EVAC) system for 50% better heat dissipation, AI memory fault self-healing technology that reduces system downtime by 66%, and intelligent power management that saves energy by up to 8% compared to industry averages. The server is managed through Huawei’s iBMC (integrated management chip) with support for Redfish, SNMP, and IPMI 2.0 standards, with optional FusionDirector software for full lifecycle automation. Security is built-in with TPM 2.0, secure boot, and RoT (Root of Trust) based secure boot mechanisms.
The 5288 V7 is suitable for IT core services, cloud and virtualized infrastructures, software-defined storage (SDS), financial systems, digital currency processing, and video data archives. It features low power consumption, high scalability, easy deployment, and simplified management.
