The Huawei CloudEngine S5736-S24UM4XC is a next-generation, full 10GE multi-rate Ethernet switch engineered for the Wi-Fi 6 era. As part of the CloudEngine S5736-S series, it is built on Huawei’s Versatile Routing Platform (VRP) and is designed to address the increasing bandwidth demands of modern enterprise campus networks, particularly those deploying high-speed wireless access points .
This model features 24 fixed multi-rate downlink ports that support speeds from 100M up to 10G, enabling a smooth transition from legacy 1G to high-speed 2.5G, 5G, and 10G connections through flexible Right-to-Use (RTU) licensing. It also includes four 10GE SFP+ uplink ports and one expansion slot for additional interface modules, offering extensive scalability . With robust Layer 3 routing capabilities, comprehensive security features, and support for up to 90W PoE++ per port to power next-generation devices, the S5736-S24UM4XC serves as a versatile solution suitable for campus aggregation/access layers and small-to-medium data center access .
