As part of the CloudEngine HAM series, this 1U fixed switch is specifically designed to address the demanding requirements of sectors such as securities, insurance, and high-end manufacturing, where network stability and high availability are paramount for large-scale production and transaction systems .

The CE6860-HAM is distinguished by its industry-leading support for up to 32,000 multicast entries, enabling high-frequency trading environments to process up to 500,000 securities transactions per second or manage up to 10,000 devices on a high-precision production line . It delivers “six-nines” (99.9999%) multicast reliability, ensuring that even in the event of a single point of failure, the switchover time is less than one second, resulting in zero service impact and zero production interruption .

The switch offers flexible “three-generation” bandwidth evolution. Its hardware is capable of adaptive port rates, defaulting to 25GE on its 48 downlink ports and 100GE on its 8 uplink ports. With the appropriate RTU (Right to Use) license, these ports can be upgraded to 50GE and 200GE respectively, offering a clear upgrade path to meet bandwidth expansion needs for up to a decade .
