Product Overview
The Huawei CloudEngine CE6850U-48S6Q-HI is a high-performance, fixed-configuration 10GE data center switch designed for enterprise cloud computing, virtualization, and high-density server access deployments. Part of the CloudEngine 6800 series, this 1U form-factor switch provides 48 x 10GE SFP+ access ports and 6 x 40GE QSFP+ uplink ports, delivering a switching capacity of 1.44 Tbit/s and a forwarding rate of 1,080 Mpps.
The CE6850U-48S6Q-HI supports advanced Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking features, VXLAN-based network virtualization, TRILL, and BGP-EVPN, making it suitable for spine-leaf architectures and modern overlay networks. It also supports Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE) for storage network convergence, with 10GE SFP+ ports capable of auto-sensing to 1 Gbit/s and supporting 2G/4G/8G FC optical modules.
The switch features flexible airflow designs (front-to-back or back-to-front), hot-swappable power modules and fan trays, dual ETH management ports (combo), and support for 16-member stack virtualization via iStack technology. It is designed for enterprise data center top-of-rack (ToR) access, aggregation, and campus core network roles.
