Huawei CloudEngine S5735-S48P4X Product Documentation
Product Overview
The Huawei CloudEngine S5735-S48P4X is a high-performance standard Gigabit Ethernet access switch designed for enterprise campus networks, data center access, and metropolitan area network deployments. Built on next-generation high-performance hardware and the Huawei Versatile Routing Platform (VRP), this switch delivers enhanced Layer 3 functionality, simplified operations and maintenance (O&M), and flexible Ethernet networking capabilities .
The switch features 48 x 10/100/1000BASE-T PoE+ ports and 4 x 10 GE SFP+ uplink ports, making it ideal for high-density access scenarios requiring Power over Ethernet support. With a switching capacity of up to 432 Gbps and a forwarding rate of 132 Mpps, the S5735-S48P4X efficiently handles demanding enterprise traffic loads .
Key capabilities include mature IPv6 support, comprehensive security mechanisms (MAC authentication, 802.1x authentication, Portal authentication, DoS attack prevention), and intelligent stacking (iStack) that allows up to 9 switches to be managed as a single logical device . The switch also supports Super Virtual Fabric (SVF) technology, enabling plug-and-play client deployment and simplified centralized management .
