Product Overview
The Huawei S2720-12TP-PWR-EI-AC is an enterprise-grade Layer 3 Gigabit Ethernet switch from Huawei’s S2720-EI series. It is a next-generation 100M intelligent access switch designed primarily for enterprise campus access scenarios, featuring both 100M-to-the-desktop and Gigabit Ethernet (GE) uplink transmission capabilities.
Powered by Huawei’s Versatile Routing Platform (VRP) software and advanced switching technologies, this switch delivers a rich set of Layer 3 routing protocols including static routing, RIP, RIPng, and OSPF, offering leading routing performance in the 100M switch field. The S2720-12TP-PWR-EI-AC provides a versatile mix of 100M and 1000M ports with PoE+ support, making it suitable for powering connected devices such as IP phones, wireless access points, and surveillance cameras directly through the Ethernet cables.
Key capabilities include support for Intelligent Stacking (iStack), which improves device reliability and scalability while significantly reducing operations and maintenance (O&M) costs through unified configuration and management of the entire stack system. The switch also supports flexible VLAN deployment, comprehensive security and QoS policies, and energy-saving technologies such as IEEE 802.3az Energy-Efficient Ethernet (EEE), helping enterprise customers build next-generation IT networks with lower operational costs.
The switch can also operate as a client in a Super Virtual Fabric (SVF) system, enabling simplified network management and architecture.
