Product Overview
The Huawei CloudEngine S6730-H24X6C is a next-generation enterprise-class 10GE fixed-form-factor routing switch belonging to the CloudEngine S6730-H series. It delivers high-density 10 GE downlink connectivity and 100 GE uplink capabilities, making it ideal for enterprise campuses, carriers, higher education institutions, government networks, and data center environments.
The S6730-H24X6C features 24 x 10 GE SFP+ ports for downlink connectivity and 6 x 40/100 GE QSFP28 ports for uplink or stacking. By default, the QSFP28 optical ports operate at 40 Gbit/s, and a 100GE RTU (Right-to-Use) license can be purchased to upgrade the port rate to 100 Gbit/s.
The switch integrates native Wireless LAN Access Controller (WAC) capabilities, supporting management of up to 1024 wireless access points (APs). This enables wired and wireless network convergence, greatly simplifying operations and reducing the need for standalone WLAN AC devices. The switch also supports VXLAN L2 and L3 gateways with BGP-EVPN for network virtualization, and Super Virtual Fabric (SVF) for vertical virtualization of downstream switches and APs.
Built with built-in security probes, the S6730-H24X6C supports abnormal traffic detection, Encrypted Communications Analytics (ECA), and network-wide threat deception. It also features telemetry for real-time data collection, collaborating with CampusInsight for intelligent network O&M.
The switch features dual pluggable power modules supporting 1+1 power backup, four independent pluggable fan modules with front-to-back airflow, and a compact 1 U chassis height.
