IBM 00E1851 Overview
The IBM 00E1851 (Feature Code 5769) is an enterprise-class PCIe Generation 2.0 x8 Single-Port 10GbE (10 Gigabit Ethernet) SR (Short Range) optical fiber network adapter.
Based on high-reliability Intel controller architecture, this standard adapter card is purpose-built for IBM Power Systems enterprise servers. It is optimized for high-bandwidth, low-latency communication workloads such as database clusters, virtualization backbones, and large-scale data transfers.
The adapter includes an open SFP+ cage populated with a removable 10Gbps Short-Wave optical transceiver, utilizing optical fiber cabling infrastructure for noise-immune high-speed networking.
