Huawei S5700-28P-LI-24S-BAT-AC – Product Documentation
Product Overview
The Huawei S5700-28P-LI-24S-BAT-AC is a next-generation, energy‑saving managed Gigabit Ethernet switch designed for high‑bandwidth access and Ethernet multi‑service aggregation in enterprise campus networks. It belongs to the S5700‑LI series, which is built on Huawei’s Versatile Routing Platform (VRP) and incorporates Advanced Hibernation Management (AHM), intelligent stack capabilities, flexible Ethernet networking, and diversified security control.
What distinguishes this model is its integrated battery backup capability. As one of the industry’s first switch series to support onboard batteries, the S5700‑LI‑BAT series provides visualized battery status management and ensures uninterrupted service in environments prone to mains power failures at the access layer. The switch features a built‑in AC power supply unit and a dedicated battery slot that can accommodate a rechargeable lithium battery (BAT‑4AHA or BAT‑8AHA). In the event of a mains power outage, the battery automatically supplies power to maintain continuous operations; when AC power is restored, the battery recharges automatically.
The switch offers 28 Gigabit SFP ports for fiber connectivity, four of which are combo ports that can be used as either 10/100/1000BASE‑T electrical ports or 100/1000BASE‑X optical ports. With a switching capacity of 256 Gbit/s and a forwarding performance of 42 Mpps, it delivers robust Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching capabilities suitable for demanding enterprise access and aggregation scenarios.
