Product Overview

The Huawei S1720X-16XWR-AC is a next-generation energy-saving Ethernet access switch featuring 16 x 10GE SFP+ ports with fixed AC power supply. It is part of the Huawei S1700 series, deployed at the access layer of enterprise networks to deliver cost-effective packet switching capabilities.

The switch provides a switching capacity of 680 Gbit/s and a forwarding performance of 240 Mpps. It is ideally suited for small and medium-sized enterprises, Internet cafés, hotels, and schools, offering easy installation and maintenance while helping customers build secure, reliable, and high-performance networks.

The S1700 series delivers multi-service access capabilities, excellent extensibility, Quality of Service (QoS) guarantee, powerful multicast replication, and carrier-class security, and can be used to build ring topologies of high reliability. The S1720X-16XWR features three built-in fans for forced air cooling and supports energy-efficient Ethernet (EEE), allowing the switch to enter a power-saving mode when traffic is light.

The S1720X series web-managed switches provide telemetry technology to collect device data in real time and send the data to Huawei campus network analyzer CampusInsight, which analyzes network data based on intelligent fault identification algorithms to accurately display real-time network status and identify network problems that affect user experience.
