Product Overview
The Huawei CloudEngine CE9865-4C is a next-generation, high-performance modular Ethernet switch designed for data center (DC) scenarios. It features an advanced hardware architecture, offers high-density 40GE/100GE/400GE access ports, and delivers a wide range of DC service features.
The switch chassis is 4U high and supports four full-width flexible card slots, enabling flexible combinations of interface cards. It supports up to 128 × 100GE QSFP28 ports or 32 × 400GE QSFP-DD ports depending on the interface cards installed.
The CE9865-4C runs on Huawei’s next-generation software platform and supports abundant data center features. It seamlessly integrates with CloudEngine 16800 and 16800-X series DC core switches to build an elastic, virtualized, high-quality, and fully-connected 40GE/100GE/200GE/400GE data center network (DCN), meeting network requirements of data centers in the cloud era. The switch serves as a core or aggregation device in data centers to help enterprises build DCNs in the cloud computing era. It can also be used as a core or aggregation device in campus networks.
Key differentiators of the CE9865-4C include its high-density 40GE/100GE/400GE modular architecture with 25.6 Tbps switching capacity and 4800 Mpps forwarding rate, M-LAG for cross-device link aggregation with independent upgrade capability and zero service interruption, support for VXLAN routing and bridging with BGP-EVPN as the control plane, comprehensive Telemetry and iFIT for intelligent O&M, and an open programmability architecture with NETCONF, OPS, and Ansible automation.
The chassis is supplied without fan boxes and power modules, which must be ordered separately. It supports 2+2 redundant, hot-swappable power modules and N+1 redundant, hot-swappable fan modules.
