Product Overview
The Huawei CloudEngine CE8865-4C is a next-generation, high-performance modular Ethernet switch designed for data center (DC) environments. It features high performance, high density, low latency, and flexible card options, built on an advanced hardware architecture that provides high-density 400GE, 100GE, and 25GE ports.
The switch chassis is 2U high and supports four half-width flexible subcard slots, enabling flexible combinations of five types of interface cards. It supports up to 16 × 400GE QSFP-DD ports, 64 × 100GE QSFP28 ports, 40 × 200GE ports, or 96 × 25GE SFP28 ports, depending on the interface cards installed.
The CE8865-4C runs on the Huawei YunShan software platform and supports abundant data center features. It works seamlessly with CloudEngine 16800, 8800, 6800, and 5800 switches to build an elastic, virtual, and high-quality data center network (DCN). The switch can function as a core or aggregation switch in data center networks and can also be deployed as an aggregation or core switch in campus networks.
The chassis is supplied without fan boxes and power modules, which must be ordered separately. It supports 1+1 redundant, hot-swappable power modules and N+1 redundant, hot-swappable fan modules.
Key differentiators of the CE8865-4C include its modular flexible-card architecture, support for 400GE/200GE/100GE/25GE/10GE port densities, RTU-based on-demand port upgrades, advanced VXLAN capabilities, intelligent lossless network features (AI ECN, PFC deadlock prevention), and comprehensive Telemetry and IFIT for intelligent O&M.
