Product Overview

The Huawei CloudEngine CE8850-64CQ-EI is a next-generation, high-performance data center switch designed for large-scale enterprise and cloud environments. Part of the CloudEngine 8800 series, this 2U chassis switch delivers high density, low latency, and exceptional switching capacity to meet the demanding requirements of modern data centers.

The CE8850-64CQ-EI is equipped with 64 x 100GE QSFP28 ports, providing ultra-high-density connectivity for core and aggregation layers in data center networks as well as campus network deployments. It supports a switching capacity of 12.8 Tbps and a packet forwarding rate of 4,482 Mpps, enabling L2/L3 line-speed forwarding.

Built on Huawei’s next-generation VRP8 operating system, the switch supports a rich set of data center features including VXLAN routing and bridging, BGP EVPN, M-LAG (Multichassis Link Aggregation Group), DCBX, PFC, and ETS. It also features intelligent O&M capabilities with Telemetry, Netstream, sFlow, and Enhanced ERSPAN for proactive network monitoring and simplified operations.

The CE8850-64CQ-EI supports stacking of up to 16 switches, virtualizing multiple devices into a single logical entity for simplified management and enhanced reliability. With 1+1 redundant hot-swappable power supplies and N+1 redundant hot-swappable fan modules, the switch ensures high system availability. The airflow direction can be flexibly selected between front-to-back and back-to-front configurations.
