Dell PowerEdge T340 Tower Server — Product Overview & Specifications
Product Overview
The Dell PowerEdge T340 is a 5U tower server designed for small businesses, remote offices, and growing organizations that require a reliable, secure, and scalable foundation for essential workloads. It supports a single Intel processor from the Xeon E-2200, Xeon E-2100, Core i3, Pentium, or Celeron families, making it suitable for file and print serving, mail and messaging, web hosting, and small database applications.
The T340 emphasizes entry-level storage and memory flexibility. It provides up to eight 3.5-inch hot-plug drive bays with a maximum raw capacity of 112TB, four DDR4 DIMM slots supporting up to 64GB of memory, and a range of PCIe Gen3 expansion slots for networking and storage controllers. Redundant power supply options and hot-plug drives help minimize downtime for always-on business operations.
Embedded management is handled by iDRAC9 with Lifecycle Controller, delivering out-of-band management capabilities without requiring additional software agents on the host operating system. The system also incorporates security features such as cryptographically signed firmware, Secure Boot, and an optional Trusted Platform Module (TPM 1.2/2.0).
