Product Overview
The Huawei FusionServer G5500 V7 is a next-generation 4U rack-mount, 2-socket GPU-optimized server purpose-built for the most demanding artificial intelligence (AI) and high-performance computing (HPC) workloads . Designed to accelerate AI training, AI inference, deep learning, and data analytics, it supports up to ten double-width GPU accelerators, delivering up to 25% more AI compute capacity compared to typical 8-GPU servers .
At its core, the G5500 V7 is powered by two 4th or 5th Generation Intel® Xeon® Scalable processors (codenamed Sapphire Rapids and Emerald Rapids), with each CPU supporting up to 385W TDP . The system is built around a high-bandwidth architecture featuring 32 DDR5 DIMM slots running at up to 5600 MT/s, and 14 PCIe 5.0 slots—10 of which are dedicated to GPU accelerators . A unique advantage is the CPU-to-GPU x32 communication link, doubling the bandwidth of standard x16 implementations to meet the demands of intensive AI workloads .
Storage configurations are highly flexible, supporting either massive capacity with up to 24 x 3.5-inch drives or ultra-fast NVMe performance with up to 12 NVMe SSDs .
