Product Overview

The Huawei S5700-28P-PWR-LI-AC is a next-generation, energy-efficient Gigabit Ethernet switch designed to meet the demands of high-bandwidth access and multi-service aggregation in enterprise networks. Built on high-performance hardware chips and Huawei’s unified Versatile Routing Platform (VRP) software, this switch delivers high-capacity, high-density Gigabit ports in a compact form factor.

As a Layer 2 enterprise-class PoE switch, the S5700-28P-PWR-LI-AC features 24 PoE+ 10/100/1000BASE-T ports and 4 1000BASE-X SFP ports, providing flexible connectivity options for various deployment scenarios. The switch supports the IEEE 802.3af and 802.3at Power over Ethernet (PoE+) standards, enabling it to power connected devices such as IP phones, wireless access points, and surveillance cameras directly through the Ethernet cables.

The S5700-28P-PWR-LI-AC supports both IPv4 and IPv6 dual-stack protocols, as well as IPv6 routing protocols including RIPng, OSPFv3, BGP4+, and ISIS for IPv6. It also supports IPv6 over IPv4 tunneling technologies such as manual tunnels, 6to4 tunnels, and ISATAP tunnels, making it suitable for deployment in pure IPv4, pure IPv6, or IPv4-to-IPv6 transition networks.

With intelligent iStack stacking technology, multiple stackable switches can be combined into a single logical virtual switch. This provides device-level reliability through redundant backup among member devices and link-level reliability through cross-device link aggregation. The iStack feature also offers powerful network expansion capabilities by allowing additional member devices to be added to easily scale the stacking system’s port count, bandwidth, and processing capacity.

The switch incorporates green energy-saving technologies and supports IEEE 802.3az Energy-Efficient Ethernet (EEE) to reduce power consumption during periods of low traffic.
