Developed in collaboration with Emulex (Broadcom), it is designed to satisfy the ultra-high I/O throughput, low latency, and robust data integrity demands of modern flash-storage data centers, cloud infrastructure, and mission-critical applications like Online Transaction Processing (OLTP) and heavy database processing.

By leveraging native PCIe 4.0 bandwidth and support for emerging storage technologies, the SN1610E optimizes performance bottlenecks while offloading critical processing from the host server CPU.

• PCIe 4.0 Optimization: Uses the high-speed PCIe Gen4 interface to comfortably handle line-rate 32 Gbps performance without bus saturation, remaining fully backward compatible with PCIe Gen3 slots.

• NVMe over Fibre Channel (FC-NVMe) Ready: Fully supports concurrent Fibre Channel SCSI and FC-NVMe protocols, enabling seamlessly phased storage migrations with lower access latencies and massive performance jumps.

• Hardware-Enhanced Security: Silicon-root-of-trust design prevents unauthorized changes or injections into the adapter’s firmware. It features unique factory-installed certificates that authenticate through HPE iLO to verify device integrity directly on the PCI bus.

• In-Flight Data Encryption: Incorporates FC-SP3 data encryption standards directly on the hardware, eliminating the need for expensive application-layer encryption software while preserving data deduplication and compression capabilities at the target array.

• Data Integrity (T10-PI): Utilizes hardware-offloaded T10 Protection Information (T10-PI) to protect against silent data corruption as data passes from the server across the storage network fabric.
